IEN Nursing Review Course

This course was specifically designed for internationally educated nurses seeking to complete the Canadian Registration Nursing Examination in Canada. We acknowledge the there may be many commonalities that exist between working as nurse abroad and practicing here in Canada, but there are significant differences as well. In many respects, these differences are largely related to our professional standards and guidelines for practice. It is our goal to provide each applicant with the necessary knowledge and understanding, of how to successfully apply theory in practice according to Canadian regulatory standards. In doing so, together we will be able to bridge the gap and help you to successfully complete the examination.

Course Overview

Participants will be given the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding and engage in the following areas of nursing competence:

  • Through understanding of Canadian standards and guidelines of nursing practice (Professional Practice, Nurse-Client Partnership, Health and Wellness, Changes in Health).
  • Assess and identify personal areas of strength and weakness as it pertains to completing the examination.
  • Provide the necessary guidance and expertise in understanding the components of the Nursing Registration Examination.
  • Conduct and review mock nursing examinations.
  • Provide on-going constructive feedback to all applicants.
